3rd of Eternal Sun, 3122;
Murvoth, Rorauk Fyrforg, and Shayline Eridor reported to Granyt Fyrforg in the Greyson’s Grey Ranger outpost in Crag and were told there have been complaints of caravans being attacked by bandits, and complaints from the outlying farms. The rangers were dispatched to make a patrol and to find out what they could. Jarvis arrived late for the briefing and was told to get the information from his fellow rangers.
The squad nominated Rorauk Fyrforg as squad leader and he started leading them up the north shore of the river and questioned the farmers there as they went and they found nothing unusual until the evening of the 5th of Eternal Sun when they stumbled upon a bandit camp in a small woods. Jarvis, who had not yet received further briefing from his teammates marched forward and called out to the camp asking who they were. Other then gaining the camps full attention there was not much of a reply until Rorauk marched up beside him with his surcoat and shield emblazoned with the Fyrforg Coat of arms. A cry of “Kill the Fyrforg” was heard and battle ensued.
The majority of the group targeted Rorauk Fyrforg although a few stray shots were loosed at Jarvis who was more in the open and an easier target. Jarvis made one quick thrust at a rogue who was in front of him battling Rorauk and slit his throat, getting Jarvis sprayed with the blood. After that sole attack on one of what were obviously the followers the whole squad surrounded and attacked the leader. Murvoth cried out to take him alive, and they did manage to subdue him with their efforts. As the other Rogues noticed how the group was dealing with their leader they hot footed it for the horses and rode off, leaving one dead and their captured leader behind.
Murvoth declared he would sit on the unconscious leader while the others searched the camp. Someone declared that the camp had been in the process of making dinner when they attacked, so Murvoth moved “his new chair” next to the fire and ate while the rest searched the camp. After the camp had all been secured, the corpse had been stripped and moved well away from the camp, and dinner had been ate they decided to see if they could rouse their prisoner who’s chest Murvoth had been sitting on and question him. At this time they realized that a 500+ pound Orc sitting on a 180 pound human’s chest makes it extremely difficult for the human to breath and they had another corpse to deal with.
After spending the night in the camp on the 6th of Eternal sun they continued to the nearest hamlet to report to the local constabulary about the camp and to turn over one of the two wagons and team of horses for it and other gear found at the camp to the hamlet. They then realized they were the constables but still turned over the goods for locals use.
