GAME 42 An Ill Wind Blows

Grimjack, Mozog, Murvoth, Rorauk Fyrforg, Shayline Eridor

19th of Golden Eagle

Something was brewing in the distance, impressive gust of winds pushing back Cheu an inch in spite of her stature. But unfortunately Jav-rasn and Geppert were soaring into the wind. Rorauk enthusiastically brimmed with confidence shot straight for the one emulating lightning, clipping him hard in the head to stun temporarily, scraping the eye . Wind Wraiths descended upon them further, one striking Kujo with two pummeling the Wyvern into unconsciousness. Archers attempted to strike at the large goblinesh bruisers, strong winds stopping their arrows from hitting true. Shayline showing some contempt to the Wyvern let loose another wave of salt-water blasting into the tempest creatures, eliminating them and splashing salt into Cheu wound. Mozog darted with haste, checking on the condition of the fallen beast.

Lightning encircled the Goblinesh bruisers, unable to really hit them. Grimjack attempts to thwart the charge of the wind wraith, grappling with the ethereal horse to no prevail. It retaliated with a swift counterattack of the sword, hitting the Ogre instead. Murvoth arrived to gang up on the wraith, obliterating it with a few time punches, but in the process lost some balancing from over committing in that state of ferocity. Shayline’s obscurement backfired, radiating a massive glow which Mozog exploited to hide behind the druid. Rorauk overcoming the winds and his stigma against the roaring winds propelled a second bolt to match the arrow of the one enveloped in lightning, crediting the remarkable craftsmanship of the crossbow.

Everyone marched forward to the enemy, Grimjack charging lariat one of the lightning spirit to dispose of it instantaneously. Flocking towards imminent danger at the wall, Kujo took the initiative climbing up the rocky walls, mimicking its owner by targeting one of the crossbowmen. Soon another one emerged as well as the main perpetrator behind this skirmish. In the background Grimjack violently slammed his fist downward in a hammer fist motion, transforming the dwarf into a blood smear camping within its durable armor. Spotting the cub, a mighty jolt of lightning surged into the bear, wounding him through the severe burns.

A combination of his diminutive stature and stealth had him undetected near the opening, firing off the sling with no notable effect. Shayline also followed along, triggering her obscurement properly this time, oblivious to the information pertaining to the desecrated grounds from Ceynara’s followers.
With numbers cutting down, the remanding ones proceeded to sprint away from the combat passed the obscured goblin with another trapped between the bear cub and one pissed off orc. The lightning spirit falling quickly once Murvoth reached the top. Making a gruesome example from one of its hired help, Grimjack threw the carcass into the stormdruid, narrowing missing in the process. Unlike the majority Mozog wasn’t affected by the despoiled grounds, closing the distance to fling the sling stone into the Stormdruid with nothing to show. Shayline , however dispelled the deflection, with the storm druid smashing Mozog with a staff imbued with electricity, dropping him into the dirt with partial blindness temporarily stricken in one eye

Grimjack whips the white-silver bracer into this burdensome practitioner of storm magic the first time around, the storm mage or druid more accurately striking back with no intent to suffer. This tussle continued for a few seconds, both sides demonstrating the resolve to not be finished. Magic and limited prowess was not enough to finished the borne pit fighter, dropping the spellcaster with fists with a purpose. Most abrupt was the vortex sucking him in and with that proper escape. Battling a high despoil, the notorious Faelakar surged with great power to sanctity the perimeter with great duress, this time afterward committed towards aiding those injured from this battle. Around this time their environmental protection expired, working together to fortify the area around the rumble they had for camp, needed for the unconscious Mozog[ healing type adventure card used]. Murvoth carried the wyvern back, nursing him back and befriending it in the process [Card on Cheu + benny/ replacement on beastmaster on Cheu].

Game 41 Who Afraid of the Big Bad Wind!

Geppert Bronzeheart, Grimjack, Jav-rasn, Mozog, Murvoth, Rorauk Fyrforg, Shayline Eridor

Morning of the 15th of Golden Eagle

Closer inspection in the journey made us realize these lizards killed were actually Wyverns. Half the group. Stricken in fear from howling winds, Shayline decided therapy by overwhelming him by the source of his fear. Meanwhile a day behind Jav-rasn met with a new recruit by the name of Mozog, an enthusiastic goblin alchemist yearning to travel. Winds proved to be quite treacherous for them, Mozog using his innate tracking skills to search for the others through the muddy tracks. Noticing cow tracks, some scorched marks, and some big prints. Eventually the duo reached near the caves, seeing the two corpses before the Aevakar dropped to the ground from exhaustion. The air elemental kept others up with its presence akin to actually being within the hazardous conditions outdoors, making things hard to say the least. The baby wyvern staring immensely at the bear cub like a well done steak. Worried he distracted it to almost no prevail, using Rorauk charismatic nature to convince it to eat.

16th of the Golden Eagle

Murvoth worrying about the prior predicament with the young Wyvern decided to venture into the storm with the wyvern and Kujo. Definitely a hectic endeavor to qualm the predatory tendencies natural to its species, an elk was found in its hiding spot from the nasty weather. Killed and snapping a leg along the way as a treat to keep it composed, mighty gust of winds tiring them out to an extent before reaching the cave.

Jav-rasn awakened to see a baby wyvern chopping onto a body, contemplating eating it before others said it was cured of its flame-affliction by the Silver Unicorn and even shown it deserved a second chance. Curiosity plagued him, trying to analyze the wyvern , not looking happy with him probably sensing his hostile intent. Heading out it proved a rough hike, making it to the Slates spirit Inn, those with environment protection or at least the majority to lessen the burden. Visiting the former headquarters we noticed some remained unchanged. Many reminiscence, it being ages since visiting this place as they entered inn. Rorauk negotiated with the owners to allow the Wyvern safe passage, becoming its first customers in a few months thanks to the weather. In the meantime over supper Geppert wrote a letter translated into Builder with Shayline to deliver it personally. The entrance was barred when heading forward, the druidness summoning an earth elemental to bypass the obstacle, yet with incredible resistance since the sounds of combat was heard. With that she returned, everyone getting their rest.

17th of the Golden Eagle

Everyone left to the temple in the morning fully rested . Their knocks were fallen to deaf ears, making the decision to head to Rockridge on checking on the filaments in the area. In the middle of the trip the Wyvern started to be called Cheu passed out in the trek. Grimjack carried the creature, while Murvoth fought against the winds. Luckily everyone else was fine as they reached the halfway point in decent condition. Working together they reinforced the small camp grounds for proper resting, nothing eventful happening for the next 12 hours.

18th of the Golden Eagle
Out from the halfway point camp wise, maintaining the environmental protection for the entire group now they made it with no problems. Telling the priest of Dranak the news of the entity involved with the chaotic weather loaming throughout shaintar, they made mention of ruined crops from it. From there it was time to rejuvenate before approaching the third important area in the morning.

19th of Golden Eagle

Leaving Rockridge immediately, Murvoth blazed the trail while hunting for the Wyvern to appease its hunger, grabbing a few rabbits this time. Reaching the area it was encompassed with the enemy around the filament, the enemies Shayline described from her absence . Waves of thunder sweeped by, a barrage causing some hardships for the group. Amongst them were lightning spirits, wind wraiths similar to the first encounter at the old keep, and over in the distance some ranged soldiers, perhaps mercenaries. Bunched together could only lead to further troubles, each taking their path to advance onto them. These peculiar lightning elementals were closest in proximity, Murvoth ever so eager to reach the opposition with Kujo following along instinctively. Shayline who amongst us was the most knowledgeable against these creature vanquished three of them with ease, unleashing an indomitable water blast imbued with salt to claim first blood in a figurative sense. Only a few saw the Dwarf on the wall enveloped with lightning bolts, suspected of being the culprit for this scenario. Within no time Murvoth was going through the remanding lightning spirits, Kujo following his lead in attacking an approaching wind wraith. Jav-rasn imitated the successful attack witnessed by the druidness, summoning a lethal bolt with a trapping of salt-water to purge one of the wraiths out of the area. Archers found the two goblinesh intimidating enough, shooting out an aerial assault yet with no notable damages. The wraiths reacted differently, one fumbling about to obliterate the one adjacent that got a decent hit into the Aevakar. The tinker felt their wrath too, Mozog standing back to support those needing the assistance like Rorauk as he retreated back for aid. How long would this weather persist?

Everyone was going to report in to Granyt, before such rumors were spreading like wildfire on the Fyrforgs being bankrupt. Frequent rain was traveling around these parts, more than usual. Reunited with the entire group for the first time in months, people walked into the office of their superior. Rorauk is given an ominous glare regarding the recent rumors, asking how he would fix it. Shayline relays the rumor of the Tempest, searching for places of powers. They would discuss how to dispel such a rumor, meeting back at the Hammerale Inn, Murvoth with Grimjack separated temporarily as the Goblinesh duo disappeared. Shayline devised a plan to essentially throw his coin at various places during the day. Murvoth went to the armorer, told more time was necessary for he gained more weight from partying from the Gerrov Gather. Giving the Dwarf a tip, he left with Grimjack towards the meeting spot. Shayline felt the winds picking up during this little Fyrforg campaign, Rorauk getting quite uncomfortable over this based from his prior experience months ago. Drinking commenced between everyone minus Shayline, with Geppert drunk, Grimjack passed out, lastly Rorauk and Murvoth in one piece. Deciding to crash back at the Gather through a tiring hour walk, he made it there to see the Gurraul there just as fatigued from the outlandish conditions. Informing Dazbog of this storm while he was still awake, eventually time passed as he crashed at Neza’s home
14th of Golden Eagle
In the early morning they were ready to head out , Shayline sensing this bear was not ordinary while Murvoth was adamant in teaching Kujo it could not keep being attached to his shoulder. Placing the bear cub on its legs instead of his shoulder, they moved out without the weather trying to assault them for now. Moving to the filaments and checking up on the farms, this would be a arduous journey. Reaching one in four hours, the sight of a farmers quite startled almost in a catatonic state. All they mumbled about was dragon, taking that hint to head north. Some tracks were made out with some torched land, Hanna Skye mentioning during the week her peculiar encounter with a Drake. Time passed walking to the mountain, the powerful gust of wind making this combined with the formidable terrain from the access rain unbearable. Reaching the destination they went in, faced to faced with a Flame-afflicted Drake laying in wait with the young Fyrforg prepared. People took some precautions by spreading out, however its mighty stature initiated some self-preservation into both Rorauk’s War horse and Shayline who panicked under this duress.
Kujo ever adamant on following the orc went from behind him as he charged into battle. Both Goblinesh were introduced to a stream of flame, Corporal Murvoth willing to shield the bear cub to take the full force of the damage and some getting lightly lit on fire. Under the excitement Rorauk tested the capabilities of his new Dwarven Crossbow[with mod], propelling that bolt into the shoulder of the massive Grimjack. Growling at Murvoth for dismissing it for its own good, the cub backed away in safety. It proved a true battle as those in the front line suffered in injuries, Murvoth displaying his frustrations by unleashing three thunderous hooks into the skull of the Drake, barely recovering from that onslaught before retaliating harshly with claws and teeth combined. Lurking a little deeper into the cave was the Female Drake, charging straight into the battle to protect her mate and kill these intruders. Shayline distant from the Drakes sent a surge of her drudic power right at the creatures, wounding one in the process. Geppert Bronzeheart who at first hit the Drake without puncturing through the scales tried again in all his fury, his bolt shooting true as it pentrated through the eye and out the other to finish off one, but not without its consequences. Enraged from the sight of its dead mate, the Female Drake took its aggression out on the closest foe, it being Grimjack who suffered for it immensely with wounds staggering the Ogre and destroyed armor as well [Adventure card from damage to random object]. Witnessing this set Murvoth into a berserk state, rushing for the Drake with haste. Rorauk and Geppert attempted to get closer, Geppert underestimating its senses as it tail whipped the Wright furiously. Rorauk had pent up stress from his current ordeal, causing a significant injury with his white-silver dwarven axe slicing through the tail to disarm one of its weapon .Reaching there in his anger one of his blows struck his comrade with two hurting it slightly, taking advantage of the recent blow. Everyone started to overwhelm this beast, each taking its blow before the orc connected his fist to drop the other drake. Emerging from the shadows was a minature drake, assumed to be their child and this their home. Murvoth tries to break berserk out of his beastmaster for the baby drake that appeared, wailing as it moved to the direction of its fallen parents. The majority appeared bloodthirsty, willing to snuff the life out of the creature other than the flame Shayline sensed through her little test. Grimjack prayed to the Silver Unicorn for judgment on the matter, some mystical sign displayed that hinted at redemption. With proof they would extinguish the evil from within to allow it to start anew. In the meanwhile with some trying to bind it, Shayline shapechanged into a horse to go after Rorauk’s war horse, finding it collapsed from exhaustion. Summoning a water spirit through her powerful connection to spirits lurking about, proper care was given through the spell succor to help eliminate some of its suffering. With that both headed back to the cave, prepping for the ardious task of curing this beast.
15th of Golden Eagle Morning
Being better linked to animals, Murvoth mainly handled feeding the baby drake when it seem necessary, even soothing it from potential fright from what surrounded it. Within the allotted time
the Druidness sanctified the baby drake, tapping into her essence reserves to command such a feat. With the storm raging on and one problem solved, their trip to Rockridge would be quite the adventure if this was the start.

Garin and his mobile forge were gone, Rorauk horse was parked right in the stable of the ranger post. Making his report on the loss of the curse and more knowledge behind the corruption within, Murvoth and the others were given leave to settle their affords. The Corporal and the mighty Ogre marched towards the Gerrov Gather just north of Crag, greeted by the aggressive Gurraul, otherwise known as the protector of their lands. Addressing the protectors on getting initiated to the clan, the fact they were kin by race amongst other things it went well to get inducted after meeting with the High Shaman known as the Terresk was the most knowledgeable to help the foreign Ogre.teamwork.jpg Panhandling the open streets of Crag for funds for the Silver Unicorn Church in Rockridge , amusing a donator to see a Fyrforg needing coinage which would not bold quite well for the future. Jav-rasn during his time went to search for a church of light in the area, persuading a priest to repent. Hanna went half a day tracking only to find goats on the trail, mainly wishing to improve her survival based skills. Geppert dealt with the dilemma of time on his hand, taking time to plan out the elaborate blueprints behind building such a contraction of true dwarven craftsmanship.
A big ceremony commenced in the gather for this momentous occasion for they were essentially gaining two more family members, going through what they interpreted as outlandish at the time as spiritually they were getting accepted . Rorauk after the shameful reception from belittling the reputation of his clan, he took a different and more respectful route, handling his resources through accounting this time around. Jav-rasn went through a difficult meeting with the priest of the area, facing the past and attempting to reconnect with his god. It was determined he could start to mend his connection slowly. hidden_stash.jpg Geppert was successful in drafting the proper mechanics behind the complex device, yet things got more fortunate with finding spare metals and other equipment his fellow Wright Garin had left behind before disappearing from sight. Hanna went further into the mountains, finding peculiar tracks that only persuaded the young ranger to go up ahead hoping to only gather more experience.
Both goblinesh were now inducted into the gather with Grimjack’s intention towards learning rudimentary goblinesh and Murvoth working in the area to gain their favor in the long road to get more answers on the mark of Ceynara and the corruption that dwelled within him. Jav-rasn got a thorough lecture on how it was important to spread the light as well as following the light. Power was not as significant even for good. Rorauk conversed with the traders on the area of finance, getting better information on that front. Geppert got a mobile forge needed for the project, finally prepared to get working on this new device he felt would come in useful for future travels. Hanna’s curiosity however had her move closer to the mysterious footsteps.
Murvoth was searching for a party after a hard days of work while Grimjack attempted to learn the native language with some difficulty. Rorauk saw it only appropriate to have a fundraiser for the church, gathering a sufficient amount during that time. Jav-rasn received further guidance to returning on Archnon good graces. Geppert’s hardwork and superb equipment really showed in his tinkering, making an excellent new device that he dubbed the Wright’s Hook. Hanna unfortunately was not having as much of a good day, realizing she was tracking the meal of a Drake that happened to spot the young human. Drakes were very foreign to this region, but the recently promoted ranger would need to devise a way to get out of this scenario alive
Grimjack was not exactly grasping the language fully, yet for the time here it was enough to grasp some Goblinesh here and there. For now it was something he could strive to become better at. Murvoth joined one of the parties happening, earning the attention of a cute gobliness infatuated by him as she flirted with him immensely. Enjoying the food and drink, they spoke where he realized she was the daughter of the Terresk. There they conversed, learning more of her and the gathers as well, hitting it off quite well. Relations here just started but it was not terrible thus far. Rorauk heard the clamoring of other Dwarves in whispers, addressing the newly spread rumor that the Fyrforges were in trouble financially based on the spotting of one asking for funds on the street corner which if nothing else hinted at very hard times to come to the clanhome. The Dwarven Wright who finished his task early also heard word of this rumor of the Fyrforg’s were broke did not bold well, expecting his help in acquiring somethings. Jav-rasn through his patience and dedication managed to get back to a decent relationship with his deity with renewed clarity. The Drake was hungry for human, yet for Hanna her resourcefulness was obvious as she drove for the closest vegetation in the area. Hiding excellently, the Drake eventually left and with that gained more prowess in the art of tracking. With the rumor spreading like wildfire, Murvoth potentially getting into a relationship with political ramification in the gather, and the constant dangers lurking in multiple directions like a Drake in these lands who knew where they were heading next.

Morning 28th of Falling Ice
Corporal Murvoth was put in the drag designed and built by the two wrights, and they begun travel to Rockridge with the bear cub trailing beside Murvoth. They only travelled about a mile before Murvoth started coughing blood from the rough passage in the mountains. Hanna worried about the state of Rockridge took half of the soldiers and continued on to see how they were faring. While Jav-rasn aided Murvoth in the process of healing his aggravated wounds with the others guarding. Some difficulty was there to get there, but they eventually reached the place. Finding out everyone was alive and well. Hanna asked the priest of Dranak, Koenig Oreraun, if he knew of any way to release the souls of the unfortunate dwarven children at the newly discovered temple to Ceynara. More information was necessary as he took them. Supply was nearly gone and once the land was drier discussion of building a garden was planned. The next day Hanna and her group of dwarves started to trek back. While others noticed a stabilized Murvoth conscious asking about the bear cub. A dark humored joke was implied about bearchops, the Corporal giving a death glare. Hunger made the orc delirious, gazing at Grimjack like a succulent steak; just ogre size instead. With everyone away Grimjack made the crucial decision to go hunting and to bring along five of the dwarven troops that consisted of the Sergeant in command and four crossbowmen with Geppert seemingly bored tagged along. That left Jav-rasn in charge of medical attention while everyone played their roles
Rest of Falling Ice to 16th of First Hunt
Hanna made it was back at night, asking Murvoth the whereabouts of the others. Hearing about their little hunting trip, she focused her attention on the enemy encampment hoping to find something significant. Their prayers were answered by discovering plenty of supply at the camp with twenty five of the troops. She started packing it back to their temporary camp and prepared it for the bigger move to Rockridge.
Grimjack, Geppert and the troops looked for game, finding some trails to some meager prey. Getting some antiquate eating that night, they pushed forward the second day with no luck, but clues to larger game further ahead. The third day looked promising as they found a stag and its young. Killing them without hesitation and cutting the meat to make it indistinguishable for the more sensitive back at camp. Grimjack believed more could be caught by baiting the meat for wolves. That night they took out two wolves for additional food, though that was all they could really hunt with Geppert divising something to carry the carcasses with. Unfortunately food made little difference as the group got lost in the process. This would prolong them.
Murvoth slowly was resting with the bear cub laying there on his leg. This was his opportunity to write reports and simply reflect on all that has happened thus far. Jav-rasn’s sudden interest in the cub perplexed the corporal, watching him cast his magic and thoroughly studying him. Revealing a rare weakness to blood steel only made him go as far to question it, it idly staring at him while staying near the hurt orc. All that was really deduce was it wasn’t an ordinary bear cub, but nothing else really meaningful happened in the area.
In between everything a goal was planned to build a forge, leaving Garin at Rockridge while shipping supplies and even a detour into Stone to give the grim news of the Dwarven children. Before they left it was determined by both parties to meet at Rockridge, with Geppert leaving as soon as they returned from hunting some decent food to help Garin with the forge.
Evening of the 16th of First Hunt
Rather ironically when Murvoth was fully healed they marched to Rockridge, everyone making it there in time. Better news was learning the forge was made, but with the healing not immediately working for their commanding officer it pushed Jav-rasn to learn of the source. Feeling resistance by two forces strangely, the result was found out that corruption was lingering within him with the mark of ceynara radiating with its wicked aura. With a goal in mind they would leave soon, but first it was unanimous that aiding the dwarves here would come first.
17th to 20th of First Hunt
Help in constructing proper farming tools came from the combined genius of the wrights with Garin showing his experience way back from helping a farmer out to construct superior equipment from the scraps they had and the two forges in their disposal. Murvoth went hunting with Grimjack and the bear cub he started calling Kujo, hoping both would grow from the experience.
20th to 23rd of First Hunt
It was quite some ways, but they made it back to Crag. There Murvoth gave his report with assessments to the rangers, some good, some not so good. Ranger Trainee Hanna Skye was now a full fledged ranger while she went on Jav-rasn’s behalf on some of his questionable antics during the battle, including calling out Murvoth for charging in the fray which ironically helped grant them victory with no loses. Things were dropped momentarily for the concern of his corruption that may be linked to his greater curse bestowed by Ceynara, told it was getting this settled or needing to resign from the rangers for the threat he posed. Thus was a trip planned to Eldara the capital in the Elvish nation to get help to get rid him of this problem.
Time was also spent shopping, for most it was unsuccessful but quite miraculous the huge Ogre found bracers for his size in the marketplace. Those looking for white-silver gear suspected their quest fell short from the construction of that item. Jav-rasn was vulnerable in combat, raking in enough coin to purchase white-silver chain to at least toughen him up a bit. Lastly Murvoth went to a smith to help resize his custom Dwarvish plate, equipping some full chain for a subsitute on this journey away from this area he now called home. Hearing their path needed to utilize a boat frightened the wrights who were naturally susceptible to sinking to the bottom of the lake. Driven by loyalty and sound argument to travel with them, all that was required was actually paying for the fare of one. Everyone tossed aside some of the funds, entrusting Jav-rasn to get a reasonable boat. Their faith was paid with a boat large enough to carry their mobile forge and the huge Grimjack. With that they headed out to the Elvish Nations.
27th of First Hunt
The group arrives in Eldara and ask around and determine they need to go talk to the high druid in the center of the forest, and go about seeking a guide to take them there.
32nd of First Hunt
After a long walk through the woods they arrive at the high druid’s. The druid assesses Murvoth and tells him that he does not know what he might be able to do for the mark, but at sawn he can perform a ritual to try to remove the curse.
33rd of First Hunt
At dawn with a couple of attempts the druid is able to remove Murvoth’s curse, and then reassesses him and declares he is still tainted with a bit of corruption, but he is unable to determine if it is just the mark or if it is a bit of something else as well. It is determined that the closest other person who may help is the shaman of the gather by Lorelei, so they ask their guide to lead them there.
3rd of Golden Eagle
After more walking in the woods the group arrives in Lorelei late in the evening, and it is decided that the two goblinesh in the group will spend the next day in the gather.
4th of Golden Eagle
Through the day with the gather the two goblinesh are told a few things. Both need to find a gather to become a part of and to spend time with so they do not lose their goblinesh roots. Even though Grimjack was born a slave it is no excuse for him not to know how to speak goblinesh, he needs to be taught it and his heritage. And even without knowing the language Grimjack is able to find goblinesh females attracted to him.
5th -8th of Golden Eagle
The group returns to Crag.

Early Evening17th of Falling Ice
People took time to recuperate from the onslaught of this battle, Hanna Skye talked to Captain Rendolen about retrieving the fae children, it was decided a new tunnel would have to be dug in, they were in no condition to be brought through the despoil areras. The wrights fixed up a crossbow that was damaged in battle. While the dwarven troops assisted in forging a sound guard watch for the former encampment of the enemy they forced to retreat. Awoken in the middle of the night from a foreign sound, Hanna found the source of what disturbed her sleep to be some ethereal dwarven children that appeared warped with a frustrated facial structure. Staying benevolent, she started to tell stories all night to sooth the minds of these dead Dwarves, fatigue settling in for her compassion.

Morning of 18th of Falling Ice
Awake and close to death, Murvoth marched ahead despite the fact wounds still plagued him. Yelling out for help had Rendolen show up, hearing something in the wall that was anything but normal. Asked for some aid for his wounds, the Eldakar Captain detched Jav-rasn along to mend the corporal’s wounds by giving him a potion of greater healing. The sound turned out to be more etheral dwarven children, safeguarding the vicinity. Jav deduced these were specters with the majority painted a gruesome picture of what happened to the kidnapped dwarven children of Stone. Asked if the Aevakar had the abilities for a funeral rite or something significant taught to priest of light was met with disappointment hearing he left the church of light before obtaining such fundamental lessons. He had learnt what he wanted from them and had lost interest.
As the day passed the dwarves worked on digging a new tunnel into the area the children were in, by passing the despoil areas and the specters. Grimjack’s curiosity brought him to explore the borders of the despoiled grounds, however walking in he got ambushed by the specters and was subdued with a combination of the unholy presence lingering in the area as well and their touch that drained him. The majority were making efforts to get something capable of dragging Grimjack out, while Murvoth in his injured state tried to recklessly move forward to save his comrade. Jav-rasn went to try to defeat them by chaining together two jets which ended up wounding Grimjack in the process, but some of the enemies got damaged as well. But Jav-rasn was not able to drop the specters with his magics before they took his spears from their containers and overwhelmed him with their attacks. Garin tried to crawl out upon the wall to grab Jav-rasn but lost his axe to the specters and fell on Jav-rasn in the process. Rendolen and the Geppert maneuvered around to their destination with haste, while Murvoth climbed out on the wall to try to grab the fallen two beside it, but got called off before he fell on them and squashed them the spears menancing him but unable to wound him further. Called off from doing something in typical Murvoth fashion, like falling on them and squashing them he backed off the wall and helped haul them out with the rope. Geppert fabricated a marvelous device to help bring the hefty Ogre back from the enemy area. For now it was decided to leave the specters which were not leaving the despoil area to concentrate on digging the tunnel.

18h to 23th of Falling Ice
Hanna Skye and the Fae children were isolated, famished with thoughts of killing the bear cub should it become necessary for survival. Murvoth at the best of his ability in his battered condition prepare an expansive amount of food and water for them, meanwhile the Eldakar with their druid taking the lead to conjure forth an Earth elemental to transport the supply passt the despoiled grounds via underground.teamwork.jpg This proved successful, allowing them to stay nourished for the remainder of the week.

Jav-rasn was anxious to get his two unique weapons back. He was told by Rendolen to leave them be and to get new ones when he returned to town. There was too great a risk that trying to go get them would just end in his falling to the specters and another rescue attempt would have to be made to get him and uneccesarily risking the lives of all again. But Jav-rasn would not be told otherwise. Disobeying the order of the eldakar captain he foolishly got close enough for the specters to drag him into them with telekinesis, and then assaulting him with their cold touch and the weapons that he so fervently wanted. Almost everyone was unaware he had snuck off on his task, seemingly doomed from the unholy powers bound to the sector and the spectors looming over him as he collapsed. Most shocking was a large flash occured,
[Golden benny+payback.jpg], the specters that seem to dissipate from the area, thus something unknown saving him from this predicament. The flash drew the attentions of the others and they were able to rescue him but did not go back in for the weapons fearful that the specters would return.
24th of Falling Ice
Finally the tunnel was dug through. Those inside were able to get out. Rendolen and his cavalry took the children in their care and took them south back to their homes. The bear cub decided to sleep in the tent with Murvoth and stand watch over him. And even with the spectral dwarven children left inside it was decided to collapse the area to the best of their abilities to hinder the Kalinar should they return.

24th to 27th of Falling
The dwarven soldiers of Stahlheim worked on this tedious project, while another disaster was lurking about. Murvoth wounds were not clear, still haunted from the damage inflicted during the battle. Even chugging down a greater healing potion did nothing, bringing some distress to the others as he collapsed getting worse instead of better. As their project was completed with those taken weapons buried with it. Building something to accommodate the orc during the trip, they needed to figure their next course of action and deal with this place another time.

The humongous ogre heaved his way onto the wall , plundering down like a boulder to crush some of the Kalinesh in gruesome fashion. Blended amongst the crossbowmen, Geppert Bronzeheart revealed himself by failing to shoot his crossbow bolt into an enemy gargoyle and almost losing his balance which would have him meet the mud. A massacre volley occurred straight at the Murvoth, but miraculouslyout_of_the_fryingpan.jpgwas still standing there livid at their mere sight. Amidst the bloodshed Murvoth mopped the area of Kalinesh, persistent towards the goal of slaughtering the entire group before any of his troops could fall. Through Hanna’s leadership she had the Dwarven army alternating between shooting at the archers on the walls, and the gargoyles flying above it. A disturbing sight happened with Grimjack using a Kalinesh warrior like a weapon,shakin_in_their_boots.jpgstartling both allies and enemies alike, forcing one to flee after pummeling another to death breaking the Kalinesh corpse he was wielding as a weapon in half. Sharn infuriated with their unholy presence shot a mighty bolt at the largest gargoyle, gaining its focus despite it displaying no visible injuries.
Arriving from the back of the battlefield was Rendolen and his troops on horseback, a welcome sight indeed. This was a deadly skirmish, the main priest on the flame breathing gargoyle was rending the internals of the muscular corporal. Their odds were not looking good, some of the dwarves fearful of the large gargoyle turned in terror. Taking out more Kal on his valiant last stand, Murvoth leaped to evade the crowd and reach the the cave only to be struck down by the group of Kalinesh he had just tried to leap. Fortune smiled by showing even a breathe attack could also have its repercussions, the backlash bothering the huge gargoyle’s stomach to an extent. Grimjack met the ground next from overwhelming force, both Goblinesh unable to get a victory from their former masters and eventually disappeared behind the wall.
The Dwarves finally got within their optimum range finally catching up to the goblinesh which had sprinted into the fray. Shots were finally proving effective on the enemy, the dwarves closing the distance to pick them apart with their armor penetrating bolts and the Eldakar covering them along . After emerging victorious from demonstrating their superiority in archery, something surmise was being witnessed by the group. A towering flame engulfed behind the walls and the Gargoyles flew north carrying the Kalinesh priests. Hanna investigated ahead in the mountain pass with both Wrights. Entering the cavern they find Murvoth there laying there and some eldakar children with a bearcub bound. Healing and moving Grimjack was going to turn problematic base on his size. Digging through her pouch, Hanna found a potion of greater healing to help get the abnormally large Grimjack up. Others would attend to Murvoth, yet the newly promoted ranger learned his reckless assault kept them from killing any of his allies and eventually found the captives. The battle was won for now, but the war was definitely not over.

After a few months of feeling like a fighting dog kept on a stout chain, having heard about the gathering of Kal in the nearby mountains, but being kept from taking them on, finally my fellow rangers have seen what is right. Like steel hammered into toughness and heated to glowing anger by the fires of the Kal, finally I’ll have a chance to get some revenge. They will find that they may have forged this steel a little too strong. 12th of Falling Ice
Emerging from his deep slumber from the battle in the Inn, Murvoth had some insight literally driven into his skull from his foolhardy actions. The corporal was bloodied, accused of something foul as Hanna Skye translated between the Orc not versed in Dwarven and the guards exclusively speaking just that language. Relations have gotten sour with the town guard over this unexplained matter, but for now no more complications would hinder them with the exception of keeping watch vigilantly. Lacking the authority in this clanhome did not help, appreciating Stahlheim even more for their hospitality.
Outside Murvoth and Hanna met with the 100 soldiers that came heeding the call by Rorauk, ordering the soldiers through Hanna to have them start build a defense by digging a ditch around the town. A wise decision was made to chat with the Clanchief of Stone, referencing the inevitable invasion from the Kal. Tenacious on the prospect of learning alchemy, Garin went into a local alchemist’s shop to get some tutelage from the shopkeep, fleeing out to ask Murvoth on the time he could have. With the upcoming battle with the enemies positioned deep in the mountains, he gave everyone a week before leaving the vicinity to go on the offensive.
Week in Stone from 13th to 17th
Granted a week, Garin was donated some of Murvoth’s coin to persuade the owner through currency to be taught his craft and improve upon his Wrighthood. Relutant, he warmed up to the idea and started a strenuous week amidst his own duties. Both Murvoth and Hanna investigated the whereabouts of the dozen kidnapped children in Stone, Murvoth surprisingly deducing that the kidnapping occurred near the mountains where he recalls the Kal originating and where Rockridge was at the site of the offerings. Jav-rasn was called upon to lend his knowledge on the matter, addressing the possibility of a ritual since seven Eldakar children were used for such a demented act in the past. Grimjack went towards something more rural, pacing about to soften the soil for the dwarven troops helping in the defense. A nagging mantra fueled the behemoth, enthralled with the idea of murdering Kal-anar.
Morning 17th of Falling Ice
Heading out of Stone, a new recruit made his appearance known in the form of a Dregordian Priest of Light named Sharn. Evaluating the newcomer and asking their fair amount of questions, they embarked on their quest. Regrettably the muddy roads became an obstacle, something that could render some problems for the battlefield. Late in the afternoon they reached the encampment, prepared to defend their territory with their lives. Motivated to bring the pain to the Kal, Murvoth charged into the fray immediately, but tripped from the mud rather comically. Sharn witnessing that blunder used his astounding power of light to augment the agility of his fellow rangers, lessening the problem with the terrain which for the rest of the battle seemed genuine. On the defensive end the Kal slowly draped the area in flame akin to a barrier for their wall. A volley of crossbolts attempted to swarm the Goblinesh, neither was damage from it. Pissed severely at the opposition had everyone watching Murvoth froth at the mouth, eyes reddening, and simply livid as he went berserk. Though these dwarves were under his command, the thought of them paying for his inexperience had him take the punishment by being the main assault with his hulking comrade not too far away. Hanna Skye went for a subtler approach, venturing forward with stealth with her grey ranger cloak to amplify this tactic, while Garain distanced himself from the bulk of his allies to catch the Kal-anar off guard. Jav-rasn hung low, contemplating on whether or not flight was reasonable while everyone closed the distance.
Despite the cumulative obstacles to make long range problematic, Garin aimed his dwarven crossbow, unable to tell if it was working well though it hit past the wall. Hanna handled her tactics well. Persistent in their resolve, the Goblinesh tag team reached the opposing wall eventually through the multitude of attacks trying to bypass their defenses. The gargoyle trio with flame priests ganged up on the orc and ogre with a steady stream of flame starting with the largest gargoyle breathing flames like the legendary tales of dragons, hoping to make them well done. Swearing he wished more help would arrive, herecomesthecavalry.jpgit was coincidentally that throwing flame at them did the dwarves began their barrage of cross bolt fire mainly to distract them. Watching his commanding officer in peril had Jav-rasn fly with haste to help his companions, meeting with heavy resistance in the form of a vicious swarm of arrows to impale him without prejudice. Fortunately all of that was a well timed phantasm to fool his foes.secondwind.jpg Suicidal, yet thirsting for blood Murvoth leaped forward with his heated dwarven plate, surrounded by many Kal. Becoming an enraged cyclone of death, those closest to him were now the first of his causalities in this battle with crushed skulls, holes through their armor, or just frightening strength to cause massive internal bleeding. The fight has only begun.

1st of Falling Ice
Given an invitation to Rorauk‘s wedding in addition to becoming his Best man for this momentous occasion, Murvoth was obligated to let go of his selfish pursuits for his 2nd in command. Everyone dressed appropriately for this event with a priest of Dranak officiating the ceremony and even the Clanchief in attendance. Each one of his companions gave a present, Rorauk occupied with the imminent honeymoon with the bride. Murvoth was set aside briefly by Rorauk with information about the kidnapping in Stone and before leaving Granyt promoted the orc to Corporal for his deeds. From there they left Stahlheim to head into Crag.
9th of Falling Ice
Gathering Garin along the way in Crag to fill out the squad of rangers. Getting acquainted with this weapon orientated wright and Hanna who was Shayline’s protegethe squad pressed on for Stone. Trying to arrive there quickly was met with resistance from the unusually muddy roads, from the exceptionally heavy snows melting off the mountains, which slowed the group down dreadfully. A standard camping ground was set up until Geppert insisted in participating and earning the ire of the others for messing with it. Muddy and raining as well, the night was not comforting as the dwarves Geppert and Garin both were uncomfortable in the portable forge.
10th of Falling Ice
Advancing further this time had nothing real productive occurring, but the evening went tremendously better with setting up camp and giving both dwarves the proper sleep to offset the fatigue they suffered from throughout the day from the previous stop.
11th of Falling Ice
Morning struck and approaching Stone the decision from Murvoth was made to have someone scout ahead. This had Jav-rasn survey the area of Stone out aerially with the others trailing behind him on the ground. Unexpectedly three giant hawk like creatures with bone prodding from the wings and black oozing from it assaulted him from above, the rest of the group witnessing this from afar. Jav-rasn with quick thinking dove down to evade most of them in time, causing one to go off balance and foil another’s attack.nottoday.jpgEvading their grasp, the Aevakar made the endeavor of reaching his comrades and everyone rushed to his aide by spurring on the horses. Maneuvering about to intercept one of the attacks, Jav-rasn was fortunate to still be aware of his surroundings as he once again deceived one to hit its ally.betteryouthanme.jpg Both wagons hurried with haste, though to no prevail as the Aevakar dropped into a hay stack. Hanna went into hiding and Murvoth tended to the wounds, oblivious to the ooze, sealing it into Jav-rasn’s body as he used a healing salve and then his mundane stitching to seal the wounds. Jav-rasn then used some magical healing to purge the burning sensation.
Entering Stone the guards they asked about this task looked upset, unbeknownst to the party that the whole kidnapping happening almost a month ago. Hanna wished for an audience with the Captain of the guard, forming a good observation of their lack of walls and a foreboding reference to the Kal forces in the mountain two day away. Suggesting to build the a new wall, they decided it would be a task to start the next day. In the meanwhile Murvoth exploited his upgrade in pay, spoiling everyone this time by relaxing in an exceptional inn that Rorauk, if present, would easily accomplish with his wealth. Grimjack’s size became an obstacle, yet efforts were made to accommodate the behemoth of an Ogre comfortably in the stables. Where he was given fresh straw to lie on and the pavilion for a blanket. Hanna decided to make herself a bed in the hayloft overlooking Grimjack so he would not be all alone in the stables.
12th of Falling Ice
Abit before sunrise Grimjack awoke to a group stabling their horses and wagon and going into the inn. He didn’t think too much about them and went back to sleep until true morning. When Hanna awoke she noticed the additional wagon and team that had arrived sometime after she went to sleep. Hanna asked the Inn owner if anything scrupulous made an appearance, the owner replied that half dozen men and a human woman in a cloak rented a room for a day. She then ordered up breakfast for herself and Grimjack, and began the task of lugging the food out to the stable for their repast. Most the rest of the group gathered in the tavern to enjoy their breakfasts but Murvoth trailed behind smelling something indistinct lead the orc to stop by one of the other rooms on his way down. Hearing nothing at the door, he decided to enter the room and was struck by one of the men on the inside guarding it. The woman in the bed cast a spell and that man began to emulate with a black glow. Murvoth pummeled the two men by the door, the glow around the one struck out at him as he did so, with ease, and eyed the one on the bed with hostile intent. The woman on the bed casted a wicked spell to slow the brute, however it meant nothing to the rampaging orc spilling the organs of his adversaries with brutal punches and proclaiming them Kal at the moment to gain Grimjack’s attention. Optimistim towards the promise of killing some Kal had the hulking Ogre attempt to bust through a window, failing and getting attacked in exchange by the same black glow of weird witchery. Murvoth slaughtered two more of her guards as they closed with him, and he then rushed to kill another. Left with only one guard the woman cast another spell and took control of Murvoth’s mind, he now became her new guard, going out against the others who had discontinued their eating when they heard the sounds of conflict from above. The fearsome bruiser incapacitated Garin and wounding Geppert in the process. Almost right away she casted that dreaded spell again, this time conquering the mind of the tinker. Both proceeded in the room dragging the limp form of Garin with them. While Grimjack uprooted a post to try another jab at the window. With no one capable of escaping her power the door was closed and they were bound in rope and placed into unconsciousness. The town guard arrived outside as Grimjack made another swing at the window with his new club. At their arrival Hanna convinced Grimjack to lay off his beating and suggested that she and the guard go upstairs to see what was happening. Jav-rasn arrived upstairs behind the two dwarves, but by the time his slow walk got him there the hall was empty and all the doors closed so he decided it was a good idea to head back to his own room and get some more sleep. When Hanna and the guards arrived upstairs the door to the room was open and they found the smashed remains of the men Murvoth had slaughtered and her bound comrades unconscious. From what little Hanna had learnt of magic from Shayline she did not believe that what happened here was typical of magic from this world.
