Jarvis was born in a port town south of Galea. Growing up it was plagued by pirates. He did not think much more of the sailors in the town because instead of doing anything about the pirates, they would get drunk and complain about them until they started a fight. Even though he was cautious to avoid them, Jarvis’ overconfidence and big mouth often left him on the receiving end of more sailors than he could handle. The worst part was that the only job he could get was at the town’s fish market, but that is also where he first learned how to fight.
When he became an adult, Jarvis traveled North to look for work that did not involve the sea. He found a job as a training assistant at a Fencing school in a large city in Camon. For over a decade the Master of the school used him almost daily to show the students how to call shots on pressure points and other weak spots. When the Master retired, Jarvis was passed over and the school went to the Master’s nephew instead. And Jarvis fell into a great depression.
In his depressed state, Jarvis began to study the school’s books on creatures of darkness and flame. He even learned their language and their weaknesses. When he had finally had enough, he decided the only thing he could do was to continue his travels North and slay these creatures.
Jarvis is a Southern Human. Thinner and shorter than most of them. His skin is less tanned due to his time in Camon. He has wide-set features, large ears, he has very little to no body or facial hair. His eyes tend to glow slightly in the dark.
